Purdue Federal Credit Union names new CEO

Purdue Federal Credit Union wanted to find the right leader after Bob Falk's 16 years as CEO.

They asked Phoenix-based DDJ Myers, a search and leadership development firm, to help them find a replacement for the retiring Falk.

Darrick Weeks is just that leader. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

“We are confident that our new President and CEO Darrick Weeks will lead Purdue Federal into a bright future,” said Edgar Cyr, board chair, in a press release.

Weeks most recently served as president and CEO of Marine Credit Union based in Wisconsin.

“It is an incredible honor to be chosen to lead Purdue Federal and build on Bob Falk’s profound legacy of service and leadership,” Weeks said. “As we look to the future, I am deeply committed to expanding our impact, embracing innovation, and prioritizing the well-being of our members, employees, and communities.”

Falk worked at the West Lafayette-based credit union for 22 years.

“Bob’s unwavering commitment to Purdue Federal and its members has been instrumental in shaping our organization into the strong, service-driven institution it is today,” Cyr said. “His leadership, vision, and passion for supporting our members, employees and communities have left a profound and lasting impact. We are deeply grateful for the foundation Bob has established and wish him a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement.”

Weeks earned his Master's degree in information technology from the University of Denver and his Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from California State University, Fullerton.

Purdue Federal Credit Union was founded on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus in 1969. The credit union’s membership base includes students, faculty and staff and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate. Purdue Federal has over 100,000 members nationwide. It has branches in Crown Point and La Porte.
