Northwest Indiana Forum welcomes new coordinator

Portage-based Northwest Indiana Forum recently hired Olivia Allen as membership and marketing events coordinator.

In her new role, Allen will execute marketing strategies and manage memberships, sponsorships and events.

Prior to joining Northwest Indiana Forum, Allen worked as senior community partner and event coordinator for American Girl Place in Chicago. During her tenure, she managed community partnerships and a hotel affiliate program, hosting 100 events annually. Allen also trained and supported coordinators in New York and Los Angeles and worked with Mattel corporate partners to market events.

Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. She has a concentration in international business. During her time at Purdue, Allen studied marketing in London with the Foundation for International Education.

Allen expressed excitement about working back in Northwest Indiana, a place she calls home. She said she is looking forward to joining an organization that positively impacts Northwest Indiana.

The Northwest Indiana Forum is a nonprofit organization. It specializes in economic development and promotes the retention of quality jobs. The Forum was founded in 1983.
