Downtown South Bend is hosting a ribbon cutting Sept. 18 to celebrate the opening of Mystic Union Tattoo and Piercing.

Formerly known as Bicycle Tattoo and Piercing, the business transitioned this summer to a larger location at 315 N. Lafayette Blvd. in South Bend. It also underwent a rebrand and logo change. The new location can serve more customers and offers a larger showcase of designs and retail options.

“Our team includes eight dedicated tattoo artists ready to bring your custom tattoo visions to life,” said Noah Hutt, co-owner, in a press release.

Mystic Union Tattoo and Piercing has two piercers and two private piercing rooms. It will also offer a selection of implant-grade titanium and solid gold jewelry.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m. Sept. 18. The public is invited to attend. Downtown South Bend and officials from the city of South Bend will be onsite. Mystic Union will offer tours of the new studio after the ceremony.

Mystic Union Tattoo and Piercing will be open by appointment 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
