The Crown Point Rotary Club will welcome Bishop Robert McClory of the Diocese of Gary as a guest speaker Sept. 18.
McClory was appointed by Pope Francis in November 2019. He is the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Gary. McClory serves as a spiritual leader and has a background in civil law and theology.
Attendees will hear about McClory’s vision of faith-driven community service and collaboration. They will also have the opportunity to engage with McClory and learn about his efforts to reinvigorate the Diocese of Gary.
McClory will speak at the club’s weekly lunch meeting. The event will start at 12:10 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Youche Country Club in Crown Point. The public is invited to attend.
