The Gary-based Black Chamber of Commerce of NWI will host an Access to Capital workshop on Aug. 15.

The workshop, presented in partnership with the Small Business Administration, will focus on accessing capital and navigating the loan process. Community members looking to start or expand their businesses, embark on new projects or learn more about the loan process are invited to attend.

The event is designed to provide entrepreneurs with insights and tools to secure funding for their business ventures. Topics will also include how to complete a balance sheet, profit and loss statements and projection paperwork. These components are key to securing loans and making business decisions.

The program will also include a question-and-answer session with a panel of financial experts.

The Access to Capital workshop will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 15 at Brown Skin Coffee in Gary. Learn more about the event here.
