Merrillville-based Centier Bank celebrated the opening of its second banking center in Indianapolis with a ribbon cutting July 25.
The opening earlier this month represents a milestone in the bank’s ongoing expansion throughout Indianapolis.
“We are honored to celebrate our continued commitment to Indianapolis residents and businesses and play a role in their advancement and financial future,” said Mike Schrage, Centier Bank CEO and chairman of the board, in a press release.
Schrage, along with other Centier Bank representatives, welcomed members of Indianapolis’ business community, local chambers and nonprofit organizations to the celebration.
Centier Bank’s first banking center in Indianapolis opened in March. The bank’s expansion will continue in Carmel and Brownsburg before year’s end.
“In a time where bank branches are disappearing and personalized service is declining, we remain focused on the community banking approach for which we have been known and celebrated over our 129-year history,” Schrage said.
The celebration included a $5,000 donation to First Baptist Athletics. The neighboring organization offers youth sports programs with an emphasis on athletics and respect.
“We strive to be the place for good sports, and Centier Bank’s purpose-driven culture illustrates their pledge to be a catalyst for financial and community impact,” said Steve Carr, athletic director for First Baptist Athletics.
Centier Bank’s newest Indianapolis branch offers drive-through lanes and a drive-up ATM. It also features a coffee bar and space to accommodate an associate training center.
Centier Bank is a private, family-owned bank. The bank has over 60 offices, serving 11 counties in Indiana. Centier Bank was founded in 1895.
