Chicago-based Hub International Limited acquired Merrillville-based Meyers Glaros, an independent insurance brokerage.
Meyers Glaros provides commercial and personal insurance, along with services for employee benefits.
“Meyers Glaros has a strong reputation in the market, and we are excited to have them join Hub,” said Caroly Hofstee, president and CEO of Hub Midwest East, in a press release. “From their high-performing sales team of specialists to their strong relationships with top insurance providers, they will help us continue to advance our growth strategy in the Region.”
Meyers Glaros' employees, along with managing partners Matt Glaros and Jeff Meyers, and will become part of the Hub Midwest East team.
“Hub is the perfect strategic partner for us as we look to accelerate our growth into the future,” Glaros said. “Joining Hub will give our clients and employees greater resources, expertise and opportunities.”
Hub also acquired Meyers Glaros' parent company GMG Group Inc. The transaction's terms were not disclosed. Meyers Glaros will retain its name.
HUB offers insurance brokerage and financial services at locations throughout North America. The company employs 17,000 people.
