1st Source Bank opens Crown Point loan office

South Bend-based 1st Source Bank opened a new loan production office in Crown Point as part of a westward expansion into Lake County.

The office will serve community businesses with small business loans, deposit, treasury and commercial credit needs. It is open by appointment only.

“We are excited about this opportunity to grow our presence and serve clients in a new market, introducing them to the services and people that make 1st Source special,” said Matt Vessely, 1st Source west region president, in a press release. “This expansion rounds out our footprint to cover all of Northwest Indiana and opens up a robust market to our award-winning commercial banking offerings.”

Benjamin Brown, a new addition to the bank, will serve in 1st Source’s new office. Brown has 25 years of banking experience, primarily in commercial lending.

1st Source Corp. is the parent company of 1st Source Bank. The company operates 78 banking centers in Indiana and Michigan, including Northwest and North Central Indiana. 1st Source Bank was founded in 1863 in South Bend. Forbes recently ranked 1st Source Bank one of America’s Best Banks.
