An e-commerce company signed a lease for a massive building in Silos at Sanders Farm business park in Merrillville.
The 1,000,000-square-foot warehouse spreads across 79 acres. The property is part of Crow Holdings’ 195-acre Silos at Sanders Farm business park. The park has 20 acres of land remaining for development.
Avison Young arranged the lease on behalf of developer Crow Holdings. Adam Haefner, Marty Mikaitis and Zeke Rowan, from Avison Young’s Chicago office, represented Crow Holdings. Ryan O’Leary of KBC Advisors represented the new tenant.
“Growth in this submarket continues to attract occupiers of all sizes,” Haefner said in a press release. “This is a significant win for Merrillville and the Northwest Indiana region, and we are thrilled to maintain our collaboration with Crow Holdings in addressing the expanding demand for industrial space.”
The warehouse will become a new hub for the e-commerce company, boosting the area’s commercial scene.
“Global companies are beginning to recognize the transportation, economic, and labor advantages that Northwest Indiana has to offer in the context of national supply chains, not just at a local or regional level,” Mikaitis said.
