GARY – Charter School of Dunes has begun work on a $13 million building in Gary’s Miller area. The school is expected to open in time for the 2013-14 school year.

            This year is the 10^th anniversary of Charter School of the Dunes, which is at 860 N. Lake St. It has 450 students.

The 64,000-square-foot building occupies seven acres near U.S. 20 and Old Hobart Road.
