Melissa Henson is the new assistant vice president branch manager of the Valparaiso Lincolnway location of Horizon Bank.
For 16 years, Henson worked her way up from teller to customers service to assistant manager.
Henson will manage retail operations, sales and service at the 902 E. Lincolnway branch, according to a press release.
Henson graduated cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also has a certificate in foundations of management.
She has volunteered with organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement. She also was a board member and chairperson at the Demotte Chamber of Commerce.
Michigan City-based Horizon Bancorp., the holding company of Horizon Bank, is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
