HAMMOND – Northwest Indiana will host some 10,000 players, coaches and family members when the 2012 National Softball Association Girl’s Fast Pitch Softball B World Series arrives in the region.
The tournament is being hosted by South Shore Sports Promotions and will take place the week of July 23. Opening ceremonies will be held in downtown Valparaiso with a parade and block party.
Games will take place in Highland, St. John, Valparaiso, LaPorte, Michigan City, Crown Point, Portage and Merrillville.
