Five Region non-profit organizations each received a $5,000 donation through funds raised from the annual NWIBRT Hard Hat Charity Golf Outing.

The golf outing presented by the Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable, the Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council and the Construction Advancement Foundation, drew more than 300 golfers representing more than 50 companies. Golfers collectively raised $25,000 for the following non-profit organizations:

  • Goodwill Industries of Michiana
  • Kids Chance of Indiana
  • Tradewinds Services
  • Challenger Learning Center
  • Boys and Girls Clubs

“On behalf of my fellow golf committee members, we’d like to say that we’re blown away by the generosity shown by our guest companies at this year’s outing,” said Ryan Reithel, a representative for IBEW #697 and NWIBRT golf committee vice-chairman. “Thanks to their support, these incredible nonprofits are able to take their missions and programming further, positively impacting even more Hoosier families.”

The 2022 NWIBRT Hard Hat Charity Golf Outing is scheduled for Sept. 16.
