MERRILLVILLE – The 15th annual Indiana State Pocket Billiards championship is taking place through Sunday, March 4 at the Radisson Star Plaza.
Hundreds of pool players from the state will participate in individual and team events. Among those on hand will be eight-time world champion Nick Varner who will demonstrate techniques needed to become a world champion.
Admission is free to the public.
There will be 40 pool tables provided by Quality Table Service of Minnesota. Awards for the event are sponsored by the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority. For more information, call Cecil Messer at (219) 465-8101.
