MUNSTER – Thomas F. Prisby, chairman and chief executive officer of CFS Bancorp, Inc., the parent of Citizens Financial Bank, has announced his retirement after 30 years with the institution.
He will serve as chairman emeritus of the bank until Dec. 31, 2013.
Prisby joined the bank in 1982 and was president and CEO until 1989. He was named chairman and CEO in 1996.
“Tom has served the company, its shareholders, employees and clients well during his years as chairman and CEO,” said Gregory W. Blaine, the lead independent director for the company. “His banking skills and industry knowledge helped guide Citizens for three decades.”
Daryl D. Pomranke, the current president and chief operating officer, will become CEO. He was named president in April 2008 after joining the bank as executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2007.
