HAMMOND – Nicki Mackowski has been named the director of community and public relations by the South Shore Convention & Visitors Authority.
Mackowski will be responsible for executing publicity efforts that promotes the South Shore as a premier destination for tourists, conventions and tour groups.
She is a graduate of Purdue University Calumet with a degree in public relations and a minor in English. She earned a master’s degree in emergency management from Jacksonville State in Alabama.
Mackowski has seven years of experience in public relations.
“Nicki’s superior leadership skills and extensive experience in the communication, public speaking and community outreach will be an asset to the CVB,” said Spero Batistatos, president and CEO of South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority. “We are fortunate to have her as our communication leader.”
