Mike McKean was named loan operations officer at Merrillville-based Centier Bank.

McKean joined Centier in 2017 as part of the commercial loan booking team. In his current role, he leads commercial loan booking and insurance and ML/IL release areas of the loan servicing department by managing and producing reports for the various projects at Centier.

“I am happy to be a part of the Centier family and continuing my career with a local and family-owned bank,” McKean said. “At Centier, there is an emphasis on serving and giving back to the community which is not something every financial institution promotes.”

McKean has 10 years of prior banking experience from a privately owned, Illinois-based financial institution. McKean is a graduate of Illinois State University and has bachelor’s degree in mathematics.

He resides in Crown Point with his wife, Francesca and son, Jackson.
