Indiana American Water names new president

glass of waterIndiana American Water has named Matthew Prine president of Indiana American Water and Michigan American Water.

Prine replaces Deborah Dewey, who was named president of Missouri American Water.

Prine joined Indiana American Water in 2014 as director of Government Affairs. Since that time, he has built strong relationships with communities and public officials.

Prior to joining American Water, Prine served as executive director of the Indiana Utility Shareholder Association. He brings 15 years of utility and government relations experience, including serving as deputy chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Prine earned his bachelor of arts degree from Hanover College in Madison. He is also a graduate of the Indiana Leadership Forum and has been an active member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives and Government Affairs Society of Indiana.

Indiana American Water, a subsidiary of American Water, is an investor-owned water utility which provides water and/or wastewater services to approximately 1.3 million people. American Water employs 7,100 people and provides services to 14 million people in 46 states and Ontario, Canada.
