Applications being accepted for annual Construction Advancement Foundation Awards

The Construction Advancement Foundation is accepting applications and nominations for the foundation’s 2019 Project of the Year and Contractor of the Year.

The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. April 5.

The project of the year award recognizes outstanding construction and will be judged under the following criteria: excellence in partnering and teamwork; construction quality in craftsmanship; innovation and uniqueness in construction techniques; sympathy for the environment and its surroundings; character and value that was added to the community; quality in project management; and safety. 

There will be four award categories for project of the year including: commercial project; industrial-capital project; public works project; and maintenance/service contract project.

The contractor of the year award recognize outstanding construction contractors and will be judged under the following criteria: excellence in partnering and teamwork; construction quality in craftsmanship; innovation and uniqueness in construction techniques; sympathy for the environment and its surroundings; character and value that was added to the community; quality in project management; supervisory training and education, and safety.

There will be five award categories for contractor of the year including: commercial contractor; industrial contractor; highway contractor; professional and engineering services contractor; and specialty contractor (includes maintenance/service contractor).
