MERRILLVILLE – Methodist Hospitals has announced the election of officers for its 2010 and 2011 board of directors. Incoming officers are William G. Braman, chairman; Dr. Douglas Barthelemy, secretary; and Mamon Powers Jr., treasurer. Edward E. Charbonneau will continue as vice-chairman.
Braman is past CEO of Braman Insurance Co.; Barthelemy is a prominent Gary pediatrician; Powers is president and CEO of Powers & Sons Construction Co., Inc.; and Charbonneau is an Indiana State Senator.
“We are delighted to welcome these respected leaders to their new roles at Methodist Hospitals. The next two years will be exciting ones at Methodist as we continue to invest in the health system for the benefit of our patients,” said Ian McFadden, CEO. “Bill Braman is a longstanding area leader and Board member who has dedicated his life to improving this community. He will continue that dedication in his term as Chairman and we look forward to his leadership.”
Outgoing officers include immediate past chairman, attorney Charles D. Brooks, Jr. and Louise Elisha.
“ Attorney Brooks and Ms. Elisha have been great leaders and loyal supporters of Methodist Hospitals and we thank them for their outstanding commitment and service,” said McFadden.
