Carl Sutter, an executive with Wisconsin-based McMahon, an engineering and architectural design firm, was elected to a three-year term as Region 3 director of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Sutter, a senior vice president, leads McMahon’s environmental and infrastructure division. The company also has branch offices in Valparaiso and Machesney Park, Ill.
Sutter’s active membership in ASCE during the past 33 years includes leadership roles as Region 3 governor (2013-present), Wisconsin section president (2003), Fox River Valley branch president (1991), chair of the national committee on engineering management and business practices, and several other positions at the local branch, state and national levels.
Sutter also has been a contributing author for ASCE publications including the Report Card on Wisconsin’s Infrastructure.
