MERRILLVILLE – Retired Lake County Judge Lorenzo Arredondo, has been named an Innovator of the Month by the Society of Innovators for establishing a Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau for families.
“There were no professional services available,” said Arredondo, who created a family help system after being elected in 1981.
The DRCB is one of only three in Indiana and includes a Children’s Room that has helped more than 15,000 children over the years. Arredondo was nominated for the honor by Jill Miller and Merrillee Frey.
