VALPARAISO – Porter Health Care System’s Chandana Surgery Center has been awarded the prestigious APEX Quality Award for the fifth consecutive year.

APEX stands for Attributes for Patient Excellence Award and is an award of distinction that recognizes outstanding healthcare organizations throughout the United States that demonstrate the highest levels of excellence in patient satisfaction. To be eligible for the APEX Award, facilities must exceed the 90th percentile of their peer’s overall scores, meet a minimum of survey responses and be measured in all key performance indicators for their market.

Porter Health Care System utilizes patient satisfaction surveys to reveal its strengths and also areas that can be improved.
