PORTAGE — Ever dream about being a roller girl?  Now is your chance to lace up some skates and learn alongside the South Shore Roller Girls. The South Shore Roller Girls Derby 101 will be hosted in 5 sessions for women 18 years and older interested in playing roller derby. The sessions are Sundays from 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Camelot Bowling Center in Portage, IN through November 15th.  The cost is $5 per person –per session.  You can attend one or all of the sessions.

The sessions will teach the basics of roller skating and roller derby gameplay. Prospective skaters will also have the chance to interact with the league and ask questions about the sport including the gear, the cost, commitment, etc.  All gear is provided but if you have the gear, feel free to bring your own.
