Notre Dame Hosts Innovation Conference

The second annual Innovation – Perspectives from the Front Lines “un-conference” will take place October 28 and 29.  Notre Dame hosts innovation conference at the Chicago Campus at 224 S. Michigan Ave.

This un-conference, where participants form and lead the discussion, is sponsored by iVia, an innovation partnership between the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, Whirlpool Corporation and Beacon Health System.

Sessions take place on the 28th (Wednesday) from 6 p.m.–9 p.m. CST and on the 29th from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST. The cost is $250 and will include materials and meals. Registration is required.

The unique event will focus on providing knowledge and tools vital to leading innovation in an organizational setting that are both leading-edge and practical. The practitioner-to-practitioner conference will be guided by individuals who have deep experience in leading and teaching innovation efforts in companies of all sizes and across a variety of industries.

The conference will include:

*A Human Library to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about a variety of different innovation approaches and tools.

*Keynote presentations from senior practitioners, such as Charles Craig, Senior VP-R&D Corning, Inc. and Mick Simonelli, Innovation Advisor, previously Senior Innovation Executive, USAA.

*An Un-Conference to allow participants to co-create and network to share insights and solutions.

*Introduction of new concepts and tools such as PechaKucha – a new and innovative way to make more effective and memorable presentations.
