Girl Scouts Learn From Engineering Pros

On Monday, February 16, approximately 125 second to sixth grade girls from the Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Girl Scouts were introduced to opportunities in engineering in a fun and engaging way by NIPSCO female engineers during National Engineers Week. Another 25 young daughters of NiSource employees also participated.

The four-hour event was part of the company’s efforts to help build the next generation of female leaders, support local communities and provide opportunities for local students interested in STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers.
