LA PORTE – Audiologists with Indiana University Health in La Porte and Knox are offering free hearing screenings to the public from 10 a.m. – noon, May 15 at the Community Health Center, 400 Teegarden St., La Porte, and May 29 at IU Health Starke Hospital, 102 E. Culver Road, Knox.
The screening is for individuals ages five and older who would like to identify if they have hearing loss. It involves listening to a series of tones and sounds through comfortable headphones, and responding to the sounds when prompted. Screening takes about 5 minutes, and information will be available to those who need additional diagnostic follow-up for a potential hearing problem.
