GARY — Ivy Tech Community College Northwest’s Society of Innovators, a project of The Gerald I. Lamkin Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (I&E Center) announced their “2014 Young Innovators Video Challenge, as part of the “What’s Your Idea?” Campaign. This is a joint project with SMDG, LLC, a social media firm in Gary.
The video challenge, open to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders marked the kickoff of the 10 year anniversary celebration for The Society of Innovators of Northwest Indiana. “This is the largest project for the I&E Center” explained, O’Merrial Butchee, director I&E Center. “This Challenge is intended to inspire the next generation of thinkers, doers and innovators to solve problems in new and different ways.”
Both individuals and teams can participate in the video challenge. Participants will choose from five different scenarios upon which to base their videos for the challenge. It will run from Friday, February 7 through Tuesday, April 1. Video entries must be uploaded to the microsite, www.nwisoi.org. No submissions will be accepted after April 1.
