South Shore CVA Accepting Hometown Hero Nominations

FAIR OAKS — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority are seeking nominations for outstanding individuals in the community who exemplify excellence, integrity and commitment, just like the Airmen serving throughout the nation.

The awardee of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Hometown Heroes Program will have the opportunity to receive an orientation flight with an experienced pilot before the start of the 2014 South Shore Air Show.

To nominate a Hometown Hero, please send an email including the nominee’s name, address, phone number and a brief explanation (about 250 words) of why the nominee should be considered the South Shore Air Show’s Hometown Hero to Stacina Stagner, communications coordinator with the South Shore CVA, at staci@southshorecva.com by Friday, Feb. 21. Additionally, nominators are asked to include their contact information. Heroes must be 18 years of age or older and in good health.
