Earlier this month, union carpenters of the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters (IKORCC) rolled up their sleeves to help build a new NIPSCO building at Schererville’s Tri Town Safety Village.

Tri Town Safety Village is a “child-sized” town, complete with houses, roads, replicas of local businesses, and operational street lights and railroad crossings. This model city is a hands-on learning experience for local children, educating them on an array of safety topics such as fire, traffic, railroad, and police safety.
