GRIFFITH – New officers and members have been elected to Lake Area United Way’s 2011 board of trustees.
Heading the board is Daniel Lowery, vice president of academic affairs at Calumet College. Other officers are Michael Davis, retired from NIPSCO, vice chairman; and Kay Nelson, director of environmental affairs for the Northwest Indiana Forum, secretary.
Named to the board were Larry Buck, senior vice president and general manager, Majestic Star Casinos & Hotel; Jill Hasiak, vice president-cash management, Citizens Financial Bank; Allen M. Spajer, manager, employee relations at U.S. Steel Gary Works; and Tamara Young-King, director of external affairs-Northwest Indiana, AT&T Indiana.
