Beacon Health System welcomes Ahmed Z. Elmaadawi, M.D. Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, to the team of experts providing care at Memorial Epworth Center, the area’s most comprehensive mental health facility.

Dr. Elmaadawi, a native of Egypt, received his medical degree from Mansoura University’s School of Medicine. He completed his General Psychiatry Residency at the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Ky., and completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. His primary research interests are bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and eating disorders.

He received the Resident Research Award from the University of Louisville’s Psychiatry Department, and he was also the Research Chief during his Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
