St. Mary Medical Center has announced Mia Wolf, RN, as the new Director of Surgical Services. She earned her BSN, RN and Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Purdue University, and brings more than 32 years of nursing experience, 24 years of which she was in surgery leadership roles. Wolf comes to St. Mary Medical Center from the University of Chicago Hospitals where she managed outpatient surgery and assisted in the launching of a new 26-suite surgical center. Her experience in managing all aspects of the continuum of care in surgical services also includes achievement of Chest Pain Center Accreditation, establishment of shared governance, and the pursuit of Magnet status. She is also known for being able to achieve and maintain a high level of patient, staff, and physician satisfaction. Wolf resides in Chicago Heights.
