LA PORTE — IU Health La Porte and Starke hospitals have named Kevin Higdon Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Higdon, formerly Vice President of Finance and Information Services for the organization, brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare finance to the position. He began as Senior Audit Manager for a public accounting firm in Chicago. Later, he advanced to Vice President of Finance, Controller and Chief Financial Officer at several healthcare organizations throughout the Midwest. He graduated from Michigan City Elston High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kelly School of Business, Indiana University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
