Unemployment rates in many of the state’s metropolitan areas showed an increase in October.   The jobless rate for the Gary metro area was 4.6 percent, up from 4.1 percent in September and up from 4.2 percent in October 2017, according to the latest figures released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. The state
