SOUTH BEND – The South Bend Silver Hawks minor league baseball team has announced it will have promotions at more than 70 homes games this year with special observances for children, mothers, cancer survivors, military men and women and more.
One major event will recur throughout the season Flat Screen Friday will have the Silver Hawks give away a flat screen television between each inning on Fridays. There also will be double fireworks compared to last year and all-you-can-eat Belly Buster nights.
The Silver Hawks are the Class A affiliate of the National League’s Arizona Diamondbacks. The team is owned by Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago.
