Oilmen to face U.S. Military All-Stars

WHITING – On Sunday, July 1, the Northwest Indiana Oilmen play host to the U.S. Military All-Stars. This stop in Whiting is part of the barnstorming “Red, White & Blue Tour” featuring the only joint arms forces baseball team in the world.

Established in Pensacola, Fla., at the request of President George H.W. Bush in 1990, the U.S. Military All Stars has performed in 45 states and 12 countries. Since the team was formed, more than 25,000 services members have suited up for the team.

The game is raising funds for the U.S. Military All-Stars Wounded Warrior Program. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the first pitch is at 6:10 p.m.
