Dyer-based Unida Translation is celebrating the opening of its Schererville location on May 2.

Unida Translation is inviting community members to the grand opening of the new satellite location.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. May 2 at the Indiana Office & Training Center in Schererville. Attendees will be able to enjoy an Argentinian-style merienda, a traditional afternoon snack. Learn more about Unida Translation’s open house event here.

Unida Translation was founded by Ivana Sedia. Sedia was born in Argentina, and moved to the U.S. with her family in 1989. Sedia speaks Spanish, Italian, English, Macedonian and Italian. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications, international relations and diplomacy and an MBA. Prior to founding Unida Translation, Sedia worked as a government adviser, advising and assisting non-English speaking immigrants.

Unida Translation offers documentation translation and interpretation in person and remotely in over 125 languages. Unida specializes in certified, government, legal and medical translation. Unida Translation will offer Spanish and Italian private lessons at its new Schererville location. The company is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
