Community Hospital Fitness Pointe to celebrate 25 years

Community Hospital Fitness Pointe is marking its 25th year with a health fair and open house Nov. 4.

Members and the public are invited to visit the newly renovated facility at 9950 Calumet Ave. in Munster from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 4. It features lap and therapy pools, saunas, steam rooms, a whirlpool, fitness floor, classrooms and locker rooms, among other amenities.

“Fitness Pointe offers the community so much more than a gym,” Director Roger Vogie said in a press release. “We are a welcoming, state-of-the-art and comprehensive facility that has helped people meet their health and fitness goals for the past 25 years. Our recent renovation is an investment in the health and well-being of our current and future members.”

Special presentations will feature topics like total body resistance exercises, golf, foam rollers, Pilates and barre workouts.

The center offers personal training, fitness classes, pool, physical therapy and spa.
