The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives recognized Community Healthcare System for excellence in acute and ambulatory services.
The Munster-based health system earned a level eight designation as a result of CHIME's 2023 Digital Health Most Wired Survey. The ranking is based on 10 levels. The survey focuses on the use of technology at health care organizations that impacts data management, health, infrastructure and patient engagement.
“We are honored to receive this coveted recognition,” said Jesus Delgado, Community Healthcare System vice president of information technology and chief information officer, in a press release. “This achievement mirrors our effort and commitment to improving health care for our patients through digital health strategies.”
The survey represented 55,000-plus health care sites and about 40% of acute care hospitals in the U.S., according to a press release.
“We are proud to recognize Community Healthcare System’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell Branzell. “Its pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”
CHIME has more than 5,000 members in 58 countries. It is an executive organization that serves senior health care IT leaders.
