Communities applied for the program's funds in July. It has provided more than $1.8 billion in matching funds since its inception in 2016.

“This program has impacted communities in all 92 Indiana counties, most more than once,” said INDOT Commissioner Mike Smith. “I want to recognize all of the local agencies who have participated over time for their hard work and dedication to improving their local transportation networks.”

More than 13,800 miles of roads have been improved through the program, which has matched $1.7 billion to 595 municipalities and counties. Local communities have, in turn, invested $992 million.
