Lakeside Kitchen will open its doors at Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City on Dec. 8.

Led by Chef Josh Josh Jabczynski and restaurant manager Amy Guzman, the restaurant will offer homestyle comfort food.

Michigan City-based Bowler Man Confections, a local bakery, will supply fresh desserts like key lime cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. The small bakery opened in 2005. It is owned by two trained pastry chefs.

Lakeside Kitchen plans to offer a seasonal menu, along with a variety of holiday favorites.

The restaurant will be open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Hours will begin at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Blue Chip Casino houses three additional restaurants: The Game, The Salted Lime and William B’s Steakhouse.

“We are excited to welcome Lakeside Kitchen to Blue Chip’s restaurant portfolio,” said Brenda Temple, vice president and general manager at Blue Chip Casino Hotel Spa. “When deciding on a new space, it was important to our company to find something that appeals to a wide range of tastes, while also delivering convenient, quality options and Lakeside Kitchen is just that.”
