The Gary Chamber of Commerce will host Vanessa Green Sinders, Indiana Chamber president and CEO, on Sept. 9.
Sinders will serve as the guest speaker during the Gary Chamber’s monthly meeting and luncheon. She is the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s first female president and CEO. Sinders assumed her leadership role in January.
Sinders spent 20 years in Washington D.C. holding positions on Capitol Hill. She also worked for Fortune 100 companies. After returning to Indiana, she developed Green Sinders Consulting. The firm specializes in crisis management, leadership development and coaching services.
The event will take place at noon Sept. 9 at The Chateau Banquets in Merrillville. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. Learn more here.
The Gary Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1907. It exists to establish, expand and promote a positive and stable economic climate in Gary. The chamber is a voluntary organization comprised of business owners, community leaders and citizens.
The Indianapolis-based Indiana Chamber of Commerce was established in 1922. It consists of eight legal entities, including a political action committee, foundation, two for-profit subsidiaries and several nonprofits. It was recently named the State Chamber of the Year by the National Association of State Chambers.
