Gary chamber to host Indianapolis mayor

Joseph “Joe” Hogsett, mayor of Indianapolis, will be the speaker at the Gary Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon July 8.

Hogsett is the 49th mayor of Indianapolis. He took office in 2016. Hogsett previously served as Indiana's secretary of state and U.S. attorney for the southern district of Indiana. A lifelong Hoosier, his focus as mayor has been preventing crime, protecting taxpayers and creating opportunities for working families.

The event will take place during the chamber’s monthly general membership meeting and luncheon. The luncheon will start at noon July 8 at the Chateau Banquets in Merrillville. Learn more about the event here.

The Gary Chamber of Commerce is comprised of business owners, community leaders and citizens. Together, they invest their time and money into a community development action plan. The chamber works to improve the economic, civic and cultural well-being of the area.
