SOUTH BEND – Efforts to sell the 25-story Chase Tower in downtown South Bend have moved ahead with a vote by the City Council on a resolution making the sale a top priority for the city.
The building is owned by Huntington Bank, which told the council it has selected a bidder for the building. That bidder has not been identified.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg said he wants to keep the process moving in order to keep tenants in the building happy.
