MERRILLVILLE – Ian Rolland, the chairman of NiSource, the parent company for Northern Indiana Public Service Co., will receive the state’s highest honor from Gov. Mitch Daniels.

Rolland will receive the Sachem Award from the governor in recognition of a lifetime of excellence and moral value.

Rolland, 78, is the retired CEO of Lincoln National Corp. of Fort Wayne and has been chairman of NiSource since 2006.
