HAMMOND – The Challenger Learning Center has received a $3,000 grant from the Lake County Retired Teachers Association.
The Challenger Learning Center has provided educational programs to more than 15,000 students and adults annually with simulated sky voyages and moon base operations.
The Lake County Retired Teachers Association donates money to various charities that focus on educating children. The check was presented to executive director Rebecca Manis by retired teachers Mary Zelencik, Jeanne Wease, and Roger Willis.
