Purdue University Northwest’s Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering is offering summer enrichment camps for middle and high school students interested in learning more about mechanical and civil engineering.

The Purdue Northwest Summer Engineering Camps will take place in June and July. Attendees can choose to attend virtually (via Zoom), or in-person at PNW’s Hammond Campus, where university social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Students will be introduced to fundamental concepts of civil and mechanical engineering through interactive, laboratory and classroom experiences, including the opportunity to visit the new PNW Design Studio.

Participants will take part in hands-on activities to explore various areas of engineering, and learn skills in team building, computer-aided engineering, laboratory experimentation and decision-making. All materials will be provided, and participants will work with current PNW students and faculty.

Certificates will be presented at the end of each camp during a closing ceremony Friday afternoon.

For more information, visit the summer engineering camp web page or contact Connor Feeney at 219-785-5271 or feeneyc@pnw.edu.
