HAMMOND – Purdue University Calumet and Tri-State Industries Inc. have formed a partnership that allows students to receive real world robotic experience.
The partnership could eventually include internships to train engineering students how to program robots for manufacturing use. Tri-State has formed a new division to handle its rapidly expanding robotics business.
The company buys used robots, refurbishes them and programs them for use in other industries.
