MERRILLVILLE – Prime Real Estate will host a property tax seminar at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Avalon Manor, 3550 U.S. 30, Merrillville.
The seminar is designed to help people understand step-by-step the correct way to file a successful tax appeal by the Feb. 19 deadline.
The keynote speaker is Indiana Appraiser Joe Wszolek (Indiana Certified Level III Assessor, Indiana Certified Tax Representative and Porter County PTABOA President) who will explain how property taxes are calculated and the Property Tax Assessment Board (PTABOA) appeal procedure.

Appeal forms will be available at the seminar and real estate professionals and tax attorneys will be present to provide one on one assistance and answer questions and provide information regarding comparable property values.
